Louisa May Alcott

Little Women is a two-volume novel published in 1868 and 1869. Alcott wrote the book at the request of her publisher. It includes the life stories of four sisters, Meg, Joe, Beth and Amy March. The stories of Louisa, the author, and her sisters are said to have contributed to this work.
