Nuto the Curious – Nuto gets a Puppy

‘දඟකාර නූටෝ‘ ළමා පොත් මාලාවේ ඉංග්‍රීසි පරිවර්තනය Nuto the Curious නමින් ඔබ අතට පත් වේ. එහි පළමුවැන්න වන Nuto gets a Puppy යනු නූටෝ ට බලු පැටියෙක් හි ඉංග්‍රීසි අනුවාදයයි. කුතුහලයෙන් පිරි දරුවන්ගේ සිත් තුළ නැගෙන ගැටලු විද්‍යාත්මක ඇසකින් බලා ළමා ලෝකයට ගැළපෙන සරල, සිත් ඇදගන්නාසුලු බස් වහරකින් ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබේ. සිත් ඇදගන්නා මනරම් සිතුවම්වලින් ද කෘතිය පරිපූර්ණය. මෙහි කතුවරයා වන නුවන් තොටවත්ත වෘත්තියෙන් වෛද්‍යවරයෙකි. එමෙන්ම ප්‍රකට ළමා කෘති රචකයෙකි. මේ වන විට බොහෝ ළමා කෘති රචනා කොට ඇති ඔහු හොඳම ළමා ගී රචකයකු වශයෙන් රාජ්‍ය සම්මානයෙන් පවා ඇගයීම් ලබා ඇති අතර ඔහුගේ වෙනත් නිර්මාණ, සම්මාන සඳහා නිර්දේශ වී ඇත.

The English translation of the Dangkara Nuto children’s book series is titled Nuto the Curious. The first book, Nuto Gets a Puppy, is the English version of Nutota Balupetiyek. The series presents the curious questions that arise in the minds of children in a simple and engaging way, using a scientific perspective while staying grounded in a child’s world. The book is further enhanced with beautiful and attractive illustrations. Nuvan Thotawatta, the author, is a doctor by profession and a well-known children’s writer. To date, he has written numerous children’s books and has even received the State Award for Best Children’s Songwriter. Many of his other works have also been nominated for awards.
